New Super Mario Bros. Review

Mario started out as a sidescroller. Now it's that again! Here's the review!

Presentation:
The game looks good on the shelf. You'll really want to play it. Now this is a game ANYBODY can play. Well, if you grew up in the 80's or just so happen to have an old NES like me, this game will bring back memories. There are different modes to choose from. Mario Game (main game), Mario vs. Luigi (online multiplayer), Minigames (also online multiplayer) and Options (the most exciting mode in the game). There are many levels. This gets an 100.

Sound:
Music for this game is absolutely wonderful. If that wasn't good enough, the sound effects will bring back memories. Some of the tracks do get repetitive though. So I'll give this a...95!

Graphics:
It looks 3D. But...It's not 3D. It's 2.5D. You're in a 3D world. But it controls like the original Super Mario Bros. I like how the game is done. Taking the original Mario. And enhancing graphics. This gets a 99.

Gameplay:
The gameplay is GREAT. No flaws whatsoever. It plays just like the original Mario. But with new features, levels and much more. Needless to say, this gets an 100.

Preservation:
You'll be done with the game pretty fast. But then you have the star coins to collect. I never did the star coins that much. But I like the idea of it. So I'll have to give this a 96.

Overall:
This game is a gem. A DS isn't complete without this game, Actually, a Mario fan isn't complete without this game. The gaming world wouldn't be complete without this game. The great preservation, great sound, the excellent graphics, the well made gameplay, and the great idea for star coins, makes this game deserve a 98.
